90th Birthday Card

The colours look a bit washed out in these photos, the card was more pink than it looks here.  I created the background using Spellbinders 'Fancy Lattice' die, laying it onto some silver mirror card.  The flowers are made using Woodware's 'Poinsettia Corner' stamp - I stamped them using silver embossing powder and coloured them over using Spun Sugar distress ink.  I used Cosmic Shimmer's PVA pearls to decorate round the frame.  The pennant shape is hand-cut with some chipboard numbers added in the centre.

90th Birthday Card

I used Spellbinders Lables 18 for the topper of this card, adding a daffodil sticker I had in my stash onto it.  I added a couple of stamped panels behind to give it a bit more dimension and added a butterfly sticker in the corner.

I cut another panel using Spellbinders 'Eyelet Circles' and added some chipboard numbers in the centre.  The numbers are covered using Cosmic Shimmer's PVA golden pearl glue.

Snowman In A Box

I made another pop-up box Christmas card.  I used Tim Holtz's Snowman die for the back layer of this card and added a few die cut snowflakes on the front part.  The snowflakes are cut in white and silver mirror card using Spellbinders 'Create A Flake Four' dies.

I covered the panels using some decorative papers and added a few more snowflakes for decoration.  I added a sentiment tag on the front panel with an extra snowflake and some Bakers Twine.

60th Birthday Card

I used a piece of Hunkydory's patterned cardstock for the bottom half of this card which I had left over from one of the kits.  I added a plain piece of card for the top half which I embossed with the 'Birds and Swirls' Cuttlebug embossing folder and coloured over with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  I added a border across to hide the join between the two pieces of card.

I used my favourite Spellbinder's set - Majestic Labels 25 for the main topper.  I backed the frame onto a piece of silver mirror card and added a '60' in the middle which I covered over using Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearls glue in 'Silver Sparkle'.

The flowers are stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder and come from Woodware's 'Poinsettia Corner' stamp set.  I coloured them using Spun Sugar distress ink so they look like more of a generic flower.  I added some Silver Sparkle PVA into the centres of the flowers.

I finished off by adding a few pearls into the corners using Cosmic Pearl PVA.

Lily Pond

Just a quick card this time to break up the Christmas posts a bit.

I used one of the Hunkydory kits for this card, I can't remember which kit it was but the topper set was 'Lily Pond'.  The topper is just simply layered onto a piece of the decorative card and some silver mirror card with a sentiment added in the corner.

'Twas The Night Before Christmas

This is my favourite Christmas card I've made this year.  All the stamps are from the free set with 'Creative Stamping' magazine.

I made this card into a pop-up box card so it created a little scene.  I added the fireplace with a stocking hung on it on the back panel and a little mouse on the front panel.  The images are all coloured in using Pro-markers.

I added the 'Twas the night before Christmas....' verse onto the front of the card and finished off by adding a couple of hand drawn holly leaves with a few pearls for the berries.

The card folds flat so it can still fit in an envelope.

Vintage Christmas

I like the vintage look of this Christmas card.  I used a couple of decorative Christmas papers for the background of the card.  The main topper uses the free stamp set from 'Creative Stamping' magazine.  I stamped onto the 'waste' from Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 and coloured in the birds using Spectrum Noir pencils.  I added some pearls using Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearls in pearl gold colour round the outside of the frame.

The poinsettia is Woodware's 'Poinsettia Corner' stamp.  I stamped it twice onto a red paper using gold embossing powder and layered it up to give it a bit more dimension.  The leaves are handcut and coloured using Evergreen Bough Distress Ink.

Black and White Christmas

I used a snowflake embossing folder for the background of this card.  The main topper was stamped using the free stamp set with 'Creative Stamping' magazine.  I simply stamped it in black and added a few PVA pearls in sparkle for baubles and coloured in the tinsel using the Sakura stardust glitter pen.

The border and sentiment comes from the same stamp set.

I added a swirl die cut underneath the sentiment panel and finished the card off with a few pieces of Card Candi on the corners of the topper.

Stardust pen on the tinsel.

Timeless Journey

I used Spellbinders Postage Stamp dies to create the topper for this card.  I coloured the die cut using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped a car in the centre using Creative Expressions 'Timeless Journey' stamps.  I added a couple of post marks in the top corner to make it look more like a stamp.

I added quite a few embellishments to this card - the tickets are stamped from Tim Holtz 'The Journey' stmap set, the clock is a Tim Holtz die: 'Weathered Clock', the bunting is hand cut from decorative papers and attached to a piece of bakers twine.

Gardening Bears

I made this card for my Grandad's birthday.

He's a big gardening fan so this Gruffies stamp from House Mouse was perfect.  The stamp set is called 'With Friends Like These'.  I stamped the bears onto the 'waste' section from Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir pencils.  I went round the edge of the frame using Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearls in black.

For the background I used a lattice embossing folder for the top half, coloured over with Vintage Photo Distress Inks and a piece of decorative paper from My Minds Eye for the bottom half.  I added a couple of borders and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley.

I handmade the seed packet, colouring it with Vintage Photo distress ink and adding a few sunflower stamps over the top.

Christmas Robin

I'm trying to use up all my Christmas craft bits this year rather than buy anything new.  This card is made using a Hunkydory topper from last years 'Rockin' Snowglobes' kit:

I turned a 5" card blank into an easel card.  I added my topper and a piece of card for a border on the top part of the card.  The poinsettia is stamped with silver embossing powder using Woodwares 'Poinsettia Corner' stamp (which is the only new Christmas item I've bought this year) and is coloured using Barn Door and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks.

For the bottom part of the card I stamped a snowflake in silver embossing powder and coloured round the edges using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  I added a border and sentiment across the middle of the card to act as the 'stopper' for the easel.

I added a couple of pearls in the bottom corner and the middle of the poinsettia using Cosmic Shimmers' PVA pearls in silver sparkle.
