Easter Cards

I've had some coloured lolly ice sticks which I got in with a craft goody bag I bought a few years ago and have never been sure what to do with them, in a moment of inspiration I thought of cutting them down and turning them into crosses for my Easter cards.  I was really pleased with how they turned out, I just coloured them over with a brown Promarker and used a strip of paper across the middle to give it a bit of extra decoration.

I mounted the cross in the middle of a Spellbinders Labels 18 die cut and added a few flowers round the bottom which are made from Sheena Douglass' 'Wild Rose' die and stamp set.  The card above is made using Spun Sugar Distress Ink colours and the one below is Tumbled Glass.

A bit different for the last one, I used gold embossing powder and a script stamp for the background and some paper daises which I had in my stash.

Nativity

For my last Christmas card of the year I've done a more traditional design.  I used Spellbinders 'Labels 18' to create the panel for the back insert of the card and stamped in the centre using Clarity's nativity stamp.  I coloured round the outside of the panel using Weathered Wood distress ink.

I used some die cut snowflakes to decorate the front insert, cut out of white card and silver mirror card.  I added a star onto a piece of acetate onto the back panel to finish off the scene.

Finally I decorated all the panels using a mixture of decorative papers.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

90th Birthday Card

I used Spellbinders Lables 18 for the topper of this card, adding a daffodil sticker I had in my stash onto it.  I added a couple of stamped panels behind to give it a bit more dimension and added a butterfly sticker in the corner.

I cut another panel using Spellbinders 'Eyelet Circles' and added some chipboard numbers in the centre.  The numbers are covered using Cosmic Shimmer's PVA golden pearl glue.
