Mothers Day Card

I used Spellbinders 'Fancy Lattice' die to create the background for this card.  I added the lattice over a piece of patterned paper and placed a sentiment into the centre.

I used Sue Wilson's Poinsettia stamps to make the flowers, colouring them with Spun Sugar Distress Ink to give them a slightly different look.  I used Sue Wilson's 'Trailing Ivy' die to add some foliage around the frame of the card.

I am entering this card into The Craft Barn Challenge Clean and Simple

Old Favourites

For the end of the year I thought I was post some pictures of my favourite cards from my old blog onto this new one.  All the cards are ones that I have made myself.

90th Birthday Card

The colours look a bit washed out in these photos, the card was more pink than it looks here.  I created the background using Spellbinders 'Fancy Lattice' die, laying it onto some silver mirror card.  The flowers are made using Woodware's 'Poinsettia Corner' stamp - I stamped them using silver embossing powder and coloured them over using Spun Sugar distress ink.  I used Cosmic Shimmer's PVA pearls to decorate round the frame.  The pennant shape is hand-cut with some chipboard numbers added in the centre.
