For the end of the year I thought I was post some pictures of my favourite cards from my old blog onto this new one. All the cards are ones that I have made myself.

Nativity
For my last Christmas card of the year I've done a more traditional design. I used Spellbinders 'Labels 18' to create the panel for the back insert of the card and stamped in the centre using Clarity's nativity stamp. I coloured round the outside of the panel using Weathered Wood distress ink.
I used some die cut snowflakes to decorate the front insert, cut out of white card and silver mirror card. I added a star onto a piece of acetate onto the back panel to finish off the scene.
Finally I decorated all the panels using a mixture of decorative papers.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Christmas Blueprint
The background doesn't show up too well in these photos but it's created using the snowflake stamp from Tim Holtz's 'Christmas Blueprint' stamp set. I stamped them and used 'Tinsel Snowflake' embossing powder to give it a bit of sparkle. The main image is the snowman stamp from the same set. I coloured in bits of the detail using Spectrum Noir pencils. I finished off by adding some bakers twine behind the image and a few PVA pearls in the corners.

Noel
I used a Cuttlebug holly embossing folder for the background of this card. I added a banner across the middle using Clarity's 'Noel' frame stamp. I die cut Leonard who is a Cuttlekids die and added him into the centre of the 'O'. I finished off by adding a few PVA pearls in the corners of the banner.

Christmas Snowman
The background of this card is created using a snowflake embossing folder, I coloured over the top using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to bring out the detail. The snowman is die cut using Tim Holtz 'Assembly Snowman' die. I finished off the card by adding a sentiment and a snowflake flower.

Mr Snowman
I used another Hunkydory topper for this card which I had left over from last year. I added a few layers behind with some patterned papers and placed a border across the centre.
I used my Dimension large letter stamps, stamped onto shrink plastic, to create the 'Mum'. A couple of the letters went a bit wonky but I think it's ended up looking like snow so fits well with the rest of the card. I finished off by adding a sentiment and some PVA pearls in the corners of the card.

Christmas Easel
The topper on this card is from a Hunkydory Christmas kit I had left over from last year. The image is pyramaged inside the frame but it doesn't really show up very well in the photo. I added some patterned cardstock behind the main image with a bow running across the bottom.
I cut a tag from Spellbinders Fancy Tags dies, adding a handwritten 'Nanna and Grandad' in the centre.
I layered up some more decorative papers onto the bottom panel of the card, adding a border across the centre to act as the 'stopper' for the easel.

Mum
This was the birthday card I made for my Mum - I'm sure you could have guessed without me saying that!
I used Spellbinders 'Labels 40 Decorative Accents' (I'm trying to break away from Majestic Labels 25!!) to create the panel for this card. I made three flowers using Spellbinders 'Create a flower - aster daisy' dies and added them in a diagonal across the panel. I stamped onto shrink plastic using Dimensions large letter stamps, adding the letters into the centre of the flowers.
I added a border down the side of the card, using Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearls to decorate down the edges.

Christmas Penguin
I couldn't let a Christmas go by without using my little Leonard penguin die. Leonard is a Cuttlekids die, cut out of white card and coloured using pro-markers.
I added a few die cut snowflakes onto the front insert of the card and decorated the back panel a using Spellbinders 'Holiday Tree 2012' die cut. I finished off by adding a sentiment across the tree.
I've been using up all my scraps of Christmas papers to make these box cards, I ran out of blue on this card so just used a border across the top panels of the box. At least now I've got an excuse to buy more Christmas papers in the sales!!

Santa's Workshop
This card was just a bit of a fun idea I had.
I wanted this design to look a bit like a toy shop. I used Tim Holtz 'Blueprint Christmas' stamps for the toy soldier, coloured in using pro-markers.
I added a few cogs and springs onto the front insert of the card using stamps from Creative Expressions 'Vintage Inventor' set.
I added a sentiment onto the back panel and a hand written 'Santa's Workshop' sign onto the front.

Christmas Village
I've got a bit obsessed with making box cards so there's a few post of them coming up.
I used Creative Expressions 'Festive Village' stamp set for this card. I stamped out the village and trimmed it down so it fit on the front insert. I cut out a few trees and added them to the back insert. The images are coloured in using pro-markers.

90th Birthday Card
The colours look a bit washed out in these photos, the card was more pink than it looks here. I created the background using Spellbinders 'Fancy Lattice' die, laying it onto some silver mirror card. The flowers are made using Woodware's 'Poinsettia Corner' stamp - I stamped them using silver embossing powder and coloured them over using Spun Sugar distress ink. I used Cosmic Shimmer's PVA pearls to decorate round the frame. The pennant shape is hand-cut with some chipboard numbers added in the centre.
