Nature

This card has been made for my brother's birthday.  He works in a nature reserve so I went with that theme for the card.  I stamped some grass and butterflies onto Kraft card for the bottom half of the card and added a piece of patterned paper for the top half.  I used Clarity's Kingfisher stamp for the main topper which I coloured in using Spectrum Noir pencils.  I added some PVA pearl drops round the outside of the topper.  Finished off with a sentiment flag.

Kingfisher

I was particularly happy with this card - even if I do say so myself ;p  I treated myself to one Sheena Douglass' new die and stamp sets a couple of weeks ago, this one is the 'Wild Rose' set.

I started the card by masking off the centre and used the small leaf stamp which comes in Clarity's Kingfisher stamp set.  I used Spun Sugar disress ink and stamped round the edge of the card using both first and second generation ink to create a kind of frame.  I stamped the kingfisher in the middle and coloured him in using promarkers.

The flowers and branch are from Sheenas set and are coloured using distress inks - Evergreen Bough on the branch and Spun Sugar for the flowers.  I love how these flowers look and can see myself getting a lot of use out of them.  I was wondering if I could make the kingfisher look a bit like a bird of paradise by colouring him in different colours so I might try and experiment with that soon.
