Easter Cards

I've had some coloured lolly ice sticks which I got in with a craft goody bag I bought a few years ago and have never been sure what to do with them, in a moment of inspiration I thought of cutting them down and turning them into crosses for my Easter cards.  I was really pleased with how they turned out, I just coloured them over with a brown Promarker and used a strip of paper across the middle to give it a bit of extra decoration.

I mounted the cross in the middle of a Spellbinders Labels 18 die cut and added a few flowers round the bottom which are made from Sheena Douglass' 'Wild Rose' die and stamp set.  The card above is made using Spun Sugar Distress Ink colours and the one below is Tumbled Glass.

A bit different for the last one, I used gold embossing powder and a script stamp for the background and some paper daises which I had in my stash.

Mum

The background for this is made using Indigo Blu Floral Swirl stamp with Spun Sugar Distess Ink.  I cut a circle using a circle cutter I got from The Works when it was on offer for £2, it worked better than I thought it would.  I cut a circle of silver mirror card and mounted a plain white card over the top.  I used Dimensions large letter stamps to write Mum down the centre of the circle.  I coloured the letters with Pink Mittens Promarker and added some faux stitching round the edges.

The flowers are made from Sheena Douglass Wild Rose die set and are again coloured using Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  I cut up some flowers from the branch die in the same set and added a few round the flowers.  I finished off by adding some PVA pearls in the corners.

Mothers Day Card

The background of this card is stamped with a swirl stamp from Indigo Blu using Spun Sugar Distress Ink. I used my brayer with Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the background on the topper - need to practice more with my brayer I think ;p  The rabbits are from Clarity Stamps Bunny set and are coloured in using Promarkers.

The branch and flowers are made using Sheena Douglass Wild Rose die and stamp set.  I coloured the flowers with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and the branch is coloured using Promarkers.  Finished off by adding a handwritten sentiment onto a banner.

Mothers Day

I've got quite a few Mothers Day cards - my aunt asked me to make two for her, one if for my Mum to give my Nan and one is for myself to give - I haven't got 4 different mum's ;p

This is the first one;

I used one of the toppers from the Daphne Brissonet Cardmaking Pad 1.  I mounted the image onto gold mirror card and added some flowers to the corners which are punched using a Tonic petal pairs punch.  I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearls in gold for the centers of the flowers.  The background is stamped in using the leaf stamp from Clarity's Kingfisher stamp set with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

18th Birthday

Not my son ;p  This card was made for my Mum to give my brother.

The background is made up of a couple of My Minds Eye papers.  The stamped image is from Lily of the Valley and is coloured in using Spectrum Noir pencils.  The letters are stamped using Dimensions large letter stamps.  Finished off with an 18 banner and some Card Candi.
