Santa

I used papers from Graphic 45 'T'was the Night Before Christmas' to make the background of this card.  I cut the image out of another sheet of paper to make the topper.  The embellishments have come from the bits of paper I had left over.  I finished off by adding some poinsettias made from Sue Wilson's stamps.

Traditional Christmas

I made a couple of different cards using Sue Wilson's 'Wise Men' striplet die.  For the first card I added a couple of coloured paper behind the die cut image, then simply mat and layered it onto the base card.  I finished off by adding a sentiment and a few pearl drops.

For the second card I cut the front in half and added the die cut image onto the bit that was left.  I added a border across the back of the card along with a sentiment and a few pearl drops in the corner.

Christmas Stockings

I used Graphic 45 'T'was the Night Before Christmas' paper pad to build up the background of this card.  I cut out a circle and stamped the stockings to make the topper.  The stocking stamps are from Creative Stamping magazine issue 27.

I made the poinsettias using Sue Wilson's stamps.  I coloured them with Barn Door Distress Ink and added a pearl drop into the center of each flower.

Gift Card Wallet

I bought my brother a gift card for Christmas so made this wallet to put it in.  I scored an A4 piece of white card at 4" and 8" and cut 2" off one of the ends to make the wallet.

I used Graphic 45 'T'was the Night Before Christmas' papers for this card.  I cut out one of the tags from the papers to make the topper, stamping my sentiment directly onto it.

I stamped and cut out a couple of pieces of holly to add as an embellishment around the topper, I used Liquid Pearls to make the berries.  I added a couple die cut presents on the other side of the card.

Merry Christmas

I've finished off making all my Christmas cards for this year.  I've put poinsettias on everything so you'll have to bear with me if it gets a bit boring :p

I used Graphic 45 'T'was the Night Before Christmas' paper pad to build up the background of this card.  I cut out the center from Sue Wilson's 'Caribbean Island' background dies to make the plaque, stamping my sentiment into the middle.

I used Sue Wilson's poinsettia stamps to make the flowers, colouring them with Barn Door Distress Ink and adding a pearl drop into the centers.

Vintage Floral

I cut half of the front off an 8X8 card blank to make the shape for this card.  I used one of the images from Daphne Brissonet's Card Making Pad 1 for the main topper.  I used a couple of patterned papers for background.

The flowers are made from Dreamee's 3 petal flowers stamp set.  I coloured the flowers with a pink promarker and added a PVA pearl drop into the centre.  The foliage is from Sue Wilson's finishing touches die range - 'Delicate Fronds'.

Inside of the card, layered panel with sentiment.

In The Garden

I made this card for my Grandad's birthday.  I made a gatefold card, cutting in a diagonal across the top edges to make it more of a fancy shape.  I used the free stamps from Creative Stamping Magazine to stamp out the watering can and plant pots, colouring them in using Spectrum Noir pencils.

I stamped the wheelbarrow and flowers from the same stamp set into the middle of a circle to create the middle of the card and again coloured it using Spectrum Noir pencils.

With Thanks

I was asked to make a card as a 'thank you' for a teacher.  I used the 'Cattus Librum' stamp from Stampendous for my main image.  I layered up a couple of patterned papers for the background, using a border punch for the strip across the middle of the card.  I used two edges from the Fancy Tags Spellbinders dies for embellishments on the card, I thought they looked a bit like fancy book hinges to complement the card.  Finished off by adding a sentiment under my topper.

Winter Wonderland

I used the free stamps from this month's Creative Stamping magazine to make this card.  I cut out a circle mask to create a moon and then brayered the sky using a mixture of blue and grey inks to make a winter sky. I used the silver birch stamp with silver embossing powder for the trees in the front of the picture and stamped the pine trees in black towards the back.  I added the little deer into the foreground.  I used grey and blue inks again to create some snow drifts to finish of the picture.

I created a frame to go around the picture and stamped over it using a sentiment and snowflake stamp.  Finally I finished off the card with a poinsettia in the corner which is made from Sue WIlson's stamp set and coloured using 'Barn Door' Distress Ink.

40th Birthday Card

I was asked to make a 40th Birthday Card for someone who does triathlons, I think I just about managed it with this card.

I used Graphic 45 'Good Ol' Sport' paper pad for the background of the card and Clarity's 'Sports Kit' stamps to make the topper.  I stamped the big frame stamp in the centre and adapted a couple of the smaller stamps to make the three triathlon sports.  The cyclist was the only stamp I had that fitted the theme so I used the footballer stamp to make the runner, leaving off the football and angling it slightly so it looked like he was crossing the finish line.  The swimmer is also made using the footballer stamp, I just inked the top part of the stamp and added some waves underneath using a black fine line pen, I don't think the angle was quite right on that one but it was the best I could do!

I finished off the card by adding a sentiment and a pinwheel decoration with some bakers twine behind.

Anniversary

I used Spellbinders 'Romantic Rose' die set to make this card.  I used the largest die to create the card blank and cut the two smaller frames to build up the rest of the card.  I added a sentiment plaque into the centre of the card.

I used Spellbinders 'Bitty Blossoms' to make the roses around the frame, adding a bit of foliage behind the flowers.

Diamond Wedding Anniversary Card

This is the front view of the card.  I used Sue Wilson's 'Lyra' die to create the borders on the gatefold.  I added a few roses made using Spellbinders 'Bitty Blossoms' dies and added a ribbon which goes right round the card to tie it closed.

For the centre of the card I used a Crafts Too embossing folder, adding a PVA pearl into each of the crosses.  I printed out the sentiment and die cut it using the Spellbinders 'Romantic Rose' frame die.

I used a piece of Hunkydory cardstock for the background of this card.  I printed out the sentiment, adding it to the card with a silver frame around.  The flower is made using Spellbinders 'Create a Rose' die, I added a few die cut leaves behind the flower again using spellbinders dies.  I finished off the card by adding a piece of ribbon down the right hand side.

This card is for my sister's first wedding anniversary.  I cut Sue Wilson's 'Lyra' die out of a piece of plain white card and mounted a piece of red card behind to make the background for the card.  I used a rose stamp by Kanban for the main topper which I coloured using Promarkers.  I added a sentiment stamp from Lily of the Valley and a few PVA pearl drops to finish off the card.

Nature

This card has been made for my brother's birthday.  He works in a nature reserve so I went with that theme for the card.  I stamped some grass and butterflies onto Kraft card for the bottom half of the card and added a piece of patterned paper for the top half.  I used Clarity's Kingfisher stamp for the main topper which I coloured in using Spectrum Noir pencils.  I added some PVA pearl drops round the outside of the topper.  Finished off with a sentiment flag.

Wedding Card

I used a Crafts Too embossing folder for the background of this card, adding a PVA pearl drop into the center of each cross. I used one of the free stamps from Creative Stamping magazine for the main topper.  I stamped the dress out twice and decoupaged the bottom half to give it a bit more movement.  I added some Stickles glitter over the whole of the dress. Finally I added a sentiment and a couple of flowers to finish off the card.

Diamond Wedding Anniversary

My Nan and Grandad asked me to make up some booklets to celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.  This was the sample one, which has been given their seal of approval so now I've got about another 40 to make - that's me kept busy for the summer!

I used Centura Pearl Hint of Silver card for the base and printed the writing directly onto the card.  I've removed their surname and the Church name which is why the spacing looks a bit off in the photo.  I added a photo of them from their wedding day into the centre - how beautiful is that photo? and finally just added a piece of white ribbon and a bow down the side.

Emma on Swing

I used patterned papers from LOTV 'Perfect Pairs' paper pad to make the background for this card.  I used LOTV stamp 'Emma on Swing' for the main image which I coloured in using Spectrum Noir pencils.  I added some leaves which are die cut from Sheena Douglass 'Wild Rose' die and stamp set along with some flowers made from Dreamees stamps.
